Welcome to another feature on "It's A Madcap Life."  We hope you will join us in the Madcap Speakeasy, where we explore art, culture and design.  Within the Etsy community, there are wonderful artists who express the ethos of the Madcap spirit.  I'm lucky to have met many of these artists, who joined the Madcap Team.

What is the Madcap spirit?  The Madcap spirit is the desire, will and intention to have a great artistic adventure.  To play, create and make life worth living, peaceably, brilliantly with madcap candor and fun.  All the way around the globe!

"It's a Madcap Life" is designed to give people a good laugh, help them to explore and stretch their boundaries and take a new great leap forward into the Etsy ethos of the creative spirit.  Live footloose and fancy free!  We hope you will come join us on our next Madcap adventure in the stars and with the stars who shine so brightly on Etsy.

Come with us into the fantastic world of otherworldly creatures.  Delight in changing yourself into something not quite human and not quite beast.  Enter the fairy world, a magical realm where all dreams are possible.  If you simply close your eyes and choose to believe.  What do you see when you dream?  Do you imagine yourself as a creature in a far away place?  Do you bring this dream back to your life now, as hidden desires and hopes, inner longings?  What do you reach for when you dive into phantasmagoria?  And who are you, hidden there?  Is it enough to just be you, in this small, human life?  Or must you also be a creature of the otherworld, half ibis and half human?  Who is your deity?  And to what plane are you reaching?

Artist Bio
Rachel Sigmon
Posh Fairytale Couture

My name is Rachel. I am a mother of two beautiful children. I am a proud military spouse to a husband in the USAF. I am a licensed Cosmetologist & Makeup artist. I decided a long time ago that I'd rather be a starving artist than a slave to my shears. I have been sewing & playing with hair since I was young and decided to pick up fashion designing about 3 years ago. I started making headpieces 4 years ago and I haven't stopped since. I'm still waiting for Lady Gaga to knock on my door and ask me to make her a headdress. ;)

I live to create, it is my utmost passion and I am very devoted to my art. I hope you can appreciate it as much as I do. Blessings! :)

Please check out our Madcap Heiress Facebook Page, where you will find daily fashion, art and entertainment updates for every madcap taste bud.  And come back soon for more of our exploration into the movement of art.  What creates a cultural, spiritual, and philosophical movement in the arts?  Do you have an outrageous or avant-garde shop? Write me.  I feature Etsy artisans who are choosing to move the world.  Before the world moves.

See you in the stars!

Always Madcap,

A'esha
